Intensive support for 20 climate tech startups targeting the German market… Business briefing session to be held on April 25th
The Chungnam Center for Creative Economy and Innovation (Chungnam CCEI) has been finally selected as the managing organization for the Ministry of SMEs and Startups' ‘2025 Global Accelerating Support Program.’ Through this program, Chungnam CCEI will intensively support the entry of 20 climate tech startups into the European (German) market through a 10-week program consisting of domestic capacity building and local programs.
The Ministry of SMEs and Startups' Global Accelerating Support Program is a pan-governmental collaborative global expansion support program involving related ministries. Leveraging its extensive experience in supporting startup entry into the European market and the Ministry of Environment's expertise in the industrial sector (climate tech), Chungnam CCEI plans to systematically support promising climate tech startups in entering the European (German) market. In particular, it will collaborate with various public and private partners, including local accelerators and companies, to connect the technological capabilities of domestic startups that align with Europe's eco-friendly policy trends with the local market.
Domestically, the program will provide support for strengthening global expansion capabilities, including establishing global expansion strategies, customized 1:1 mentoring, IR pitch deck consulting, and local partner matchmaking. In Germany, a circulating roadshow across four major cities – Berlin, Hamburg, Dusseldorf, and Munich – will offer practical market entry opportunities through 1:1 business matching, VC/AC networking, demo days, and PoC meetups.
Selected companies for this program will receive an average of 30 million KRW in funding to support overseas market entry, including expenses for domestic and international travel, technology transfer, and establishment of overseas corporations. Chungnam CCEI, the managing organization, plans to select 20 startups nationwide with technological competitiveness in climate tech fields such as carbon neutrality, energy transition, resource circulation, and smart cities. Applications are open until 3 PM on Thursday, May 8th, and can be submitted online through the K-startup website.
An online and offline integrated global support program briefing session will be held on Friday, April 25th, at Chungnam Startup Maru NABI. Anyone interested can participate through online pre-registration or on-site registration. The briefing session will provide comprehensive information on the global support program, including key schedules, domestic and international programs, application procedures, and participation benefits.
Kang Hee-joon, CEO of Chungnam CCEI, stated, "Climate tech is a rapidly growing industrial sector worldwide, and this Global Accelerating Support Program will serve as a practical bridgehead for domestic startups with excellent technological capabilities to quickly enter the European market. We look forward to the great interest and participation of promising climate tech startups nationwide."
