Wonju City to Hold Grand Opening Ceremony for Sogeumsan Grand Valley Cable Car

Wonju City announced on the 16th that it will hold the grand opening ceremony for the Ganhyeon Tourist Site Cable Car at the Sogeumsan Grand Valley Integrated Center on the 25th.

About 200 people, including Wonju Mayor Won Gang-su, heads of institutions and organizations, tourism business workers, and local residents, will attend the ceremony, which will include a pre-show, a project progress report, congratulatory remarks, and a commemorative photo.

Wonju City has completed the installation of the Sogeumsan Suspension Bridge, followed by the Sogeumjando Trail, Sky Tower, Ulleong Bridge, and Escalator. With the completion of the cable car and integrated building this time, the Sogeumsan Grand Valley has been completed.

The cable car will start normal operation on the 26th, and the operating hours are 9 am to 5 pm in winter (November to April) and 9 am to 6 pm in summer (May to October).

It is expected that tourists visiting the Sogeumsan Grand Valley will be able to feel the thrill and fun through the cable car, and enjoy the fun of Ganhyeon Tourist Site by using various facilities such as the Sogeumsan Suspension Bridge, Sky Garden, Sogeumjando Trail, Sky Tower, Ulleong Bridge, Phytoncide Glamping Site, and Music Fountain.

Wonju Mayor Won Gang-su said, "Starting with the completion of the Sogeumsan Grand Valley, we will strive to successfully create various premium complex cultural tourist destinations such as the Bangok-Geumda tourism revitalization project, the Ginkgo Tree in Bangye-ri, Munmak, and the old city center."
