Shin Yu-bin to Challenge Chinese Wall at Asian Cup Table Tennis Tournament

Shin Yu-bin (Korean Air), the ace of Korean women's table tennis who was selected as the MVP of the Korea Table Tennis Association for two consecutive years, will participate in the 34th Asian Cup held in Shenzhen, China from the 19th to the 23rd of this month.

Shin Yu-bin has established herself as a leading star in Korean table tennis by winning a gold medal in women's doubles at the 2024 Hangzhou Asian Games. In this Asian Cup, she will once again demonstrate her skills against strong players from China.

In this tournament, along with Shin Yu-bin, key players from the Korean women's national table tennis team, including Seo Hyo-won (Korea Racing Authority), Lee Eun-hye (Korean Air), and Kim Na-young (POSCO International), will participate. From the men's national team, Jang Woo-jin (Sae-A), Ahn Jae-hyun (Korea Exchange), Cho Dae-seong (Samsung Life), and Oh Jun-sung (Mirae Asset Securities) will participate.

Host country China is aiming for victory by fielding top-class players including world No. 1 Lin Shidong, Sun Yingsha, as well as Wang Chuqin, Liang Jingkun, Huang Youcheng (above men), Wang Manyu, Wang Yidi, Chen Xingtong, and Kuai Man (above women).

Shin Yu-bin said, "I will play good games against Chinese players in this tournament and raise the status of Korean table tennis."
