‘Great Music Festival’ held successfully, Ensemble Harmonia won grand prize

[GLOBAL ECONOMIC TIMES]  ‘Great Music Festival (GMF)’, Korea’s largest music festival for people with developmental disabilities, sponsored by SK Innovation, was successfully held on the 24th. GMF, which started in 2017, is held every year with the purpose of promoting the musical talents of people with developmental disabilities to the world and helping them participate more actively in society.

A total of six performance teams spanning the classical and applied music fields participated in this final competition and competed fiercely. After fierce competition, ‘Ensemble Harmonia’, comprised of musicians with developmental disabilities, won the grand prize. Ensemble Harmonia received rave reviews from the judges for its outstanding performance skills and impressive stage manners.

Through GMF, SK Innovation discovers the musical talent of people with developmental disabilities and continues to support them so that they can live confidently as members of society. Through this competition, GMF participants gain confidence, communicate with society, and have the opportunity to grow.

An official from SK Innovation said, “We feel great satisfaction seeing people with developmental disabilities moving toward their dreams through GMF,” and added, “SK Innovation will continue to engage in various activities to create social value in the future.”
