Taian, South Korea – The organizing committee for the 2026 Taian International Horticultural Healing Expo has taken a significant step towards bolstering its global recognition by appointing 47 overseas public relations ambassadors. The appointments were made during the International Association of Horticultural Producers (AIPH) Spring Meeting held in Chiang Rai, Thailand on February 10th.

This strategic initiative aims to raise international awareness of the upcoming expo, attract a larger number of international visitors, and establish a worldwide network in collaboration with AIPH. The newly appointed ambassadors comprise key figures from the AIPH board, including President Leonardo Capitano and Secretary-General Tim Briercliffe, as well as representatives from 33 countries across the globe.

These ambassadors will play a crucial role in promoting the expo through various channels, including overseas media coverage and their own networks. They will also provide valuable advice on overseas promotion policies and strategies, and work towards establishing a sustainable promotion system in cooperation with AIPH. Their efforts will be instrumental in attracting visitors from around the world to the expo.

"This appointment of overseas public relations ambassadors marks a significant milestone in our efforts to promote the Taian International Horticultural Healing Expo to a global audience and attract international visitors," said Oh Jin-gi, Secretary-General of the organizing committee. "We will work closely with AIPH to make the expo a must-visit international event for professionals and tourists in the horticulture and healing industries worldwide."

The 2026 Taian International Horticultural Healing Expo, themed "A Healthy Future Found in Nature: Horticulture & Healing," is an international event co-hosted by the province and Taean County. It will take place from April 25th to May 24th, 2026, and is expected to attract 1.82 million visitors from 40 countries.
