Gangnam-gu will be hosting a large-scale children's festival, the 'Gangnam Achoo Festa,' at Irwon Eco Park on Wednesday, April 30th, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. This event, held in anticipation of Children's Day, is organized by the Gangnam-gu Childcare Support Center and the Gangnam-gu Association of Children's Homes and is expected to draw approximately 3,000 participants.

The festival will be divided into five themed zones: the 'Festa Zone' centered around play and performances, the 'Play Zone' designed to foster creativity, the 'Family Zone' for parents and children to enjoy together, the 'Safety Zone' focused on learning essential safety skills, and the 'Food Zone' offering a variety of food options.

Key programs include engaging storytelling sessions, captivating magic shows, hands-on craft workshops, crucial CPR education, and the creation of child identification bracelets to prevent children from getting lost. These diverse and practical activities aim to provide participating children with stimulating experiences that encourage creativity and curiosity.

To further enhance the festival experience, information gathered from similar events and child development experts suggests the inclusion of interactive games, outdoor physical activities, and potentially small musical performances tailored for young audiences. Additionally, considering the expected large turnout, designated rest areas and clear signage will be crucial for the comfort and safety of attendees. Information booths providing resources for parents on childcare and child development could also be a valuable addition.

Cho Sung-myung, the Mayor of Gangnam-gu, stated, "I hope this day will be a day where children can freely run, play, and laugh to their hearts' content. We will continue to strive to create a happy city for children in Gangnam."

This 'Gangnam Achoo Festa' underscores Gangnam-gu's commitment to providing enriching and enjoyable experiences for its youngest residents and their families, celebrating the joy and importance of childhood.
