VALENCIA, Spain—South Korean billiards star Seo Seo-a is rapidly becoming a global force, collecting major trophies both at home and abroad. On November 29 (KST), Seo capped an incredible run by claiming the title at the prestigious Little Monster International Women's 10-Ball Open in Gandía, Valencia, Spain. The victory came with a substantial winner's prize of $22,500 (approximately 33 million Korean Won).

Seo, who represents the Jeonnam Billiards Federation, demonstrated phenomenal form and mental fortitude throughout the tournament, defeating a field packed with top-ranked international competitors. She entered the event at the winner's bracket and maintained a perfect record, sweeping the competition with a commanding six-game winning streak from the preliminary rounds all the way to the final.

Her path to the championship was marked by two crucial, high-stakes encounters against some of the world’s elite. In the semifinals, Seo faced off against the world No. 2 player, Wei Tzu-chien of Taiwan. In a tightly contested match decided by set scores, Seo ultimately prevailed 2–1 (4-2, 0-4, 4-1), showcasing her ability to bounce back immediately after a lost set and close out a formidable opponent.

The final pitted Seo against the experienced and highly decorated world No. 8, Kelly Fisher of Great Britain. The championship match was a thrilling exhibition of skill and nerve, with both sets decided by the narrowest of margins. Seo held her composure, defeating Fisher with a straight-sets victory, 2–0 (4-3, 4-3). The consecutive 4-3 set scores underscore the intensity of the final and highlight Seo's clutch performance under pressure, ultimately securing her the top spot on the podium.

The Spanish victory is especially noteworthy as it comes a mere eight days after Seo's previous triumph—she won the 20th Korean Sport & Olympic Committee President's Cup 2025 National Billiards Tournament on November 21. This rapid succession of victories against both domestic and international powerhouses firmly establishes Seo as a dominant figure in the global pool scene.

The Korean Billiards Federation (KBF) issued a statement praising the significance of her achievement. "Seo Seo-a's continuous wins are a deeply meaningful accomplishment, proving the international competitiveness of South Korean billiards," the KBF stated. "To secure a victory against world-class players in such a short timeframe following a domestic tournament sweep raises the prestige of Korean pocket billiards to a new level."

Seo Seo-a now has her sights set on a historic third consecutive major title. She is scheduled to compete in the 2025 World 9-Ball Championship, which is set to commence on December 18 in Jacksonville, USA. With momentum clearly on her side, the global billiards community will be watching closely to see if this rising Korean star can continue her remarkable winning streak on the world stage.
