Following Sangju, the successful hosting in Gimcheon raises expectations for the revitalization of Baekdudaegan forest tourism amidst enthusiastic participant response.
The Gyeongbuk Culture & Tourism Organization (President Kim Nam-il, hereinafter referred to as the "Corporation") announced that the Gimcheon event for the "2026 Gyeongbuk Baekdudaegan Trail 6 Challenge", organized in cooperation with Gyeongsangbuk-do and six cities and counties (Gimcheon, Mungyeong, Bonghwa, Sangju, Yeongju, and Yecheon), was successfully held on September 19.

Now in its second year, the "Gyeongbuk Baekdudaegan Trail 6 Challenge" is a relay-style forest tourism program designed to allow participants to directly experience the region's nature and tourist attractions by walking through forest paths and trail courses, utilizing the forest tourism resources of the Gyeongbuk Baekdudaegan region.

Following the inaugural event held in Sangju on June 20, the second event took place in Gimcheon on September 19, where participants fully enjoyed the charm of forest tourism by walking along Gimcheon's beautiful trail courses.
