Mok-dong Complex 12, reborn as a 43-story high-rise... Resident briefing session held

Mok-dong 12 Complex in Yangcheon-gu, Seoul will be rebuilt into a large apartment complex with a maximum of 43 floors and 2,788 households. On the 28th, Yangcheon-gu announced that it would conduct a public public inspection of the 'Mokdong 12 Complex Reconstruction Project Maintenance Plan and Designation Area Designation Plan for the Mokdong 12 Complex Reconstruction Project' containing the above contents.

Mokdong Complex 12, which was completed in 1988, was seriously deteriorated and residents were constantly requesting reconstruction. According to this redevelopment plan, the floor area ratio will be increased from the existing 15-story building with 1,860 households to a maximum of 43 floors and 2,788 households.

Yangcheon-gu is rapidly promoting reconstruction projects through rapid integrated planning. After passing the safety inspection in January of last year, we received a rapid integrated planning plan in May and have been pursuing the maintenance plan establishment and maintenance area designation procedures in parallel.

A resident information session will be held on the 29th to collect residents' opinions, and the maintenance plan will be publicly inspected by the 18th of next month. After listening to the opinions of the district council and holding a rapid integrated planning advisory meeting, the plan is to apply for designation as a maintenance area to the Seoul Metropolitan Government within the year.

Mokdong Complex 12 boasts an excellent location as it is adjacent to parks, public buildings, Yangcheon-gu Office Station, and Mokdong Central District. It is expected that the level of commercial, business, and cultural services will be further improved through reconstruction.

Lee Ki-jae, head of Yangcheon-gu District, said, “We will do our best to ensure that reconstruction is carried out quickly through preparation without disruption, thereby achieving a stable supply of housing and improving the residential environment.”
