CGV, a major South Korean multiplex chain, announced today the release of its highly anticipated "Crayon Shin-chan" 2025 calendar. This follows the immense popularity of last year's calendar and various other "Crayon Shin-chan" merchandise.

The new calendar, designed in a similar fashion to an advent calendar, allows fans to collect and display 30 mini magnets featuring iconic scenes from the popular anime series. Each day, fans can open a new magnet and add it to the magnetic board, making the countdown to the new year even more fun.

In addition to the collectible magnets, the calendar includes four-panel comic strips that are perfect for displaying during vacations or when away from home. The back of the calendar features transparent stickers, allowing fans to personalize their calendars. As an added bonus, purchasers will also receive monthly coupons for CGV, making it an even more attractive offer for movie fans.

The "Crayon Shin-chan" 2025 calendar will be available for purchase starting November 29th at over 160 CGV theaters nationwide, including CGV Yongsan i'Park Mall. The calendar can be purchased individually or as part of a combo, and more details can be found on the CGV website and mobile app.

"Thanks to the overwhelming response to our previous 'Crayon Shin-chan' merchandise, we are excited to introduce the 2025 calendar," said Kim Soo-kyung, head of the F&B business team at CJ CGV. "We hope that fans will enjoy collecting the adorable magnets and using the calendar to count down to the new year. The calendar is available both individually and as part of a combo, so we encourage everyone to check it out."

CGV has previously released various "Crayon Shin-chan" merchandise that has been extremely popular among fans. The 2024 "Crayon Shin-chan" calendar sold out quickly in its first and second rounds, leading to a third release that sold over 70,000 units. In April, the company released a set of four figurines depicting iconic scenes from the film "Crayon Shin-chan: The Adult Empire Strikes Back," which caused a sensation and became a viral sensation on social media. In August, the company released a set of postcards featuring scenes from the film "Crayon Shin-chan: Clash! The Graffiti Kingdom and the Nearly Four Heroes," and in October, they released figurines based on scenes from the film "Crayon Shin-chan: Showdown! The Robot Dad's Counterattack," which were also well-received.
