Hyundai Motor Company has announced that its all-electric Ioniq 5 has set a new Guinness World Record for the greatest altitude change by an electric car. The vehicle successfully navigated a staggering 5,802-meter altitude difference across India, from the world's highest motorable road, Umling La in Ladakh, to the lowest point in the country, Kuttanad in Kerala.

This remarkable feat is a testament to the Ioniq 5's robust performance and the capabilities of Hyundai's E-GMP platform. Over 14 days, the vehicle endured grueling conditions, including the freezing temperatures of the Himalayas and the humid coastal regions of Kerala. The journey covered a total distance of 4,956 kilometers, showcasing the Ioniq 5's exceptional range and durability.

Hyundai's India division, along with renowned automotive publication Evo India, organized the expedition. The Ioniq 5's ability to conquer such diverse and challenging terrains underscores its suitability for a wide range of driving conditions and reaffirms Hyundai's commitment to sustainable mobility.

"We are incredibly proud to have set this new Guinness World Record," said [Name], [Title] at Hyundai Motor Company. "The Ioniq 5's success in this extreme challenge is a testament to our engineering prowess and our dedication to pushing the boundaries of electric vehicle technology. This achievement aligns perfectly with our vision of progress for humanity, and we are excited to continue developing innovative solutions for a more sustainable future."

The Ioniq 5's record-breaking journey is expected to further bolster Hyundai's reputation as a global leader in the electric vehicle market. By demonstrating the capabilities of electric vehicles in even the most challenging environments, Hyundai is helping to dispel range anxiety and encourage wider adoption of sustainable transportation.
