INCHEON – Inha University successfully hosted its '2025 Inha Engineering Festival' from September 9 to 11, bringing together students, faculty, and local industries. The 13th annual event, held under the slogan 'ConTech-In (Connecting Technology, Inha and Incheon),' served as a platform for showcasing innovative projects and fostering collaboration between academia and the business sector.

Co-organized by the university’s Center for Engineering Education Innovation, I-RISE Project Headquarters, and the College of Engineering, the festival featured a wide array of student work. Exhibitions included entries from the Inha Capstone Design Competition, winning projects from the Inha Idea Competition, and multi-year research projects. Notably, the Capstone Design Competition alone featured 26 prototypes, highlighting the students' advanced technical skills and creativity.

The festival also provided a unique opportunity for students to engage with the latest industry trends. Exhibitions of innovative products and technologies from companies in Incheon's six strategic industries were a major highlight, with participants including the Incheon Chamber of Commerce and Industry Intellectual Property Center and Incheon Technopark. In addition to the exhibitions, students benefited from job mentoring, convergence lectures, and a presentation of award-winning extracurricular projects.

Pyeon Seok-jun, Director of the Center for Engineering Education Innovation, expressed the event's significance. "This year's festival was especially meaningful as it provided a platform for direct communication between students and the industrial sector, thanks to the participation of local companies and the I-RISE project," he said. "We will continue to support engineering students in unleashing their potential and growing through connections with the local community."

Inha University President Jo Myeong-woo echoed this sentiment, praising the students' "creative ideas and outstanding technical skills." He pledged the university's unwavering support to "help future engineers cultivate their abilities with endless challenge and a spirit of creativity."
