Cheonan City announced on the 2nd that it recently held export consultations for electric vehicle component companies in Thailand and India, achieving $29.21 million in export consultation results and $12.81 million in potential contracts.

The consultation, supported by the city and jointly conducted by the Cheonan branch of the KOTRA Daejeon Chungnam Support Group and local trade offices, was held on the 25th (local time) in Thailand and on the 27th in India, respectively.

Five promising local electric vehicle component material exporting companies participated in the export consultation, including Daerim MTI Co., Ltd., BNK Co., Ltd., RMSTechnology Co., Ltd., Vision Technology Co., Ltd., and MD System, seeking to explore overseas markets and the possibility of entering the Asian electric vehicle market.

Thailand and India are countries actively promoting policies to expand the adoption of electric vehicles and are evaluated as promising markets with high potential for exports and cooperation.

Accordingly, Cheonan City supported the creation of practical business results by operating one-on-one export consultations through customized buyer matching for each company, as well as local market research and networking programs.

In addition, Cheonan City plans to continuously help strengthen the global competitiveness of local companies by operating various export support projects for local SMEs, such as export insurance premium support and overseas branch establishment projects, in addition to the trade mission support project.

A city official stated, "Cheonan City plans to actively support the overseas expansion of local companies in line with the expansion of the global electric vehicle market," and added, "This export consultation was a great help in exploring overseas markets for local companies."
