CHUNGCHEONGNAM-DO – South Chungcheong Province and the Chungnam Culture & Tourism Foundation officially unveiled the "2025 Chungnam Tour Pass Integrated Ticket" on May 20th, a mobile pass designed to offer significant discounts and free access to a wide array of tourist attractions, accommodations, cafes, restaurants, and various paid experiential facilities across the province. This initiative is a cornerstone of the "2025-2026 Visit Chungnam Year" campaign, aiming to attract more visitors and boost local tourism.

The Chungnam Tour Pass is valid at over 300 affiliated establishments, including key tourist sites, unique experience centers, and popular cafes. Tourists can choose from three flexible pass options: a 24-hour pass priced at ₩16,900, a 36-hour pass at ₩21,900, and a 48-hour pass at ₩26,900. These options allow visitors to tailor their travel plans, enjoying unlimited free entry or substantial discounts on attractions, dining, and activities within their chosen timeframe.

"With the integrated pass, travelers can design their itineraries seamlessly, transcending city and county boundaries," stated a provincial official. "They can explore every corner of Chungnam with benefits amounting to more than half price off or even free admission, making it an incredibly economical way to experience our beautiful province."

How to Purchase Your Chungnam Tour Pass

Purchasing the Chungnam Tour Pass is convenient and accessible. Prospective buyers can utilize the QR code found on promotional posters or directly contact the Chungnam Culture & Tourism Foundation at 041-630-2962 for inquiries. The pass is also readily available for purchase on major online platforms such as Naver, Coupang, Gmarket, Auction, Yanolja, and Here Yoeotta. Once purchased, the pass can be activated and used within the allotted time.

Special Launch Discounts and Future Plans

To celebrate the launch, the province and the foundation are offering special promotional discounts throughout May. The 24-hour pass can be purchased for a remarkable ₩9,900 (a 41% discount) via platforms like Naver Smartstore. The 36-hour and 48-hour passes are also available at discounted rates of 14% and 11% respectively.

Looking ahead, the province plans to introduce a separate "Gourmet Tour Pass" in July 2025, which will further enrich the culinary experiences available to tourists. Additionally, the integrated tour pass will be offered as a reply gift for the "Hometown Love Donation System", a policy initiative designed to encourage donations to local communities. This strategic move aims to both promote local tourism and support provincial development.

Exploring Chungnam: A Hub of History and Natural Beauty

Chungcheongnam-do, located in the central western part of South Korea, is a region rich in both historical significance and natural splendor. The province boasts a diverse landscape, from picturesque coastlines to serene mountains, offering a wide range of attractions suitable for all types of travelers.

Historically, Chungnam is home to numerous ancient sites and cultural heritage. The Baekje Cultural Land in Buyeo, for instance, recreates the glorious Baekje Kingdom, allowing visitors to step back in time. The Magoksa Temple in Gongju, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is a tranquil Buddhist temple nestled amidst lush forests, offering a glimpse into traditional Korean spiritual life.

For nature enthusiasts, the Taean Coast National Park offers stunning beaches, dramatic rock formations, and vibrant ecosystems. The Gyeongju National Park, though primarily in Gyeongju, extends into parts of Chungnam, offering additional opportunities for hiking and exploring historical relics. Furthermore, Chungnam is known for its hot springs, such as those in Asan and Onyang, providing relaxing wellness experiences.

The culinary scene in Chungnam is equally appealing, with fresh seafood from the west coast and agricultural produce from its fertile lands. Local specialties include various seafood dishes, traditional Korean stews, and unique regional delicacies, many of which will be accessible through the new Gourmet Tour Pass.

The introduction of the Chungnam Tour Pass is poised to significantly enhance the accessibility and affordability of exploring this captivating province, making it an even more attractive destination for both domestic and international visitors.
