The Chungnam Fire Headquarters has once again demonstrated the overwhelming strength of "Powerful Chungnam" through its outstanding performance in fire policy implementation.
On April 3rd, the Fire Headquarters announced that it was selected as the top agency for the fourth consecutive year in the '2024 National Comprehensive Evaluation of Public Happiness Fire Policies', earning commendation from the Minister of the Interior and Safety.
This evaluation is part of the government's performance assessment, and since 2010, the National Fire Agency has annually evaluated 43 indicators across 7 categories, including prevention safety, field response, and fire administration, for 19 metropolitan and provincial fire headquarters nationwide.
The Fire Headquarters demonstrated outstanding capabilities in various fields, including overall field response such as fire response, prevention, rescue, and emergency medical services, as well as achieving first place nationwide in the investigation case presentation contest aimed at eradicating violations of the Fire Services Act.
Furthermore, in this policy evaluation, the Fire Headquarters received recognition for its excellent achievements in establishing a 119 communication system for socially vulnerable groups. This includes a suicide prevention platform to address the super-aged and multicultural society, a search system for elderly individuals with dementia, a special 119 transport service for severely disabled elderly individuals, and the implementation of AI interpretation, sign language interpretation, and picture-based medical questionnaires.
Fire Chief Seong Ho-seon stated, "This achievement is the result of the collective efforts of all Chungnam fire personnel dedicated to protecting the safety of our citizens. We will continue to do our best in our responsibilities and roles to be a reliable support for the residents."
