Daejeon, South Korea – Daejeon Metropolitan City is set to convene the third installment of its Daejeon Innovative Technology Exchange (DITEC) on Monday, April 8, 2025, at the prestigious D-Unicorn Lounge located on the 20th floor of the Daejeon Shinsegae Expo Tower. This year's DITEC will center on the crucial theme of "Prospective Founder's Planned Startup Business Formation Strategy and Investment Attraction," aiming to equip aspiring entrepreneurs with practical strategies and real-world insights for launching successful ventures.

The upcoming exchange meeting promises a deep dive into the intricacies of planned startups, a methodology that emphasizes strategic collaboration with investors and incubators from the nascent stages of a business. This approach is designed to mitigate common pitfalls and significantly enhance the likelihood of success for new enterprises.

The event will be divided into two engaging segments. The first part will feature a keynote presentation by Yoon Ki-dong, Head of the Korea Technology Finance Corporation (KOTEC). Mr. Yoon will provide a comprehensive overview of the "Planned Startup Business Strategy Program for Deep Tech Ventures Originating from Government-Funded Research Institutes." This session is expected to shed light on opportunities and resources available for those looking to commercialize cutting-edge technologies developed within Korea's research ecosystem.

Following Mr. Yoon's presentation, attendees will have the valuable opportunity to learn from the experiences of two successful entrepreneurs who have navigated the path of planned startups. Choi Beom-seok, CEO of Quantum Eye Co., Ltd., and Song Han-woong, CEO of The Captain Co., Ltd., will share their personal journeys, offering practical know-how and actionable insights gleaned from their own successful ventures. Their firsthand accounts are anticipated to provide invaluable guidance for prospective founders.

The second part of the DITEC will foster interactive engagement through a panel discussion featuring the day's speakers. This session will provide a platform for attendees to freely pose questions and engage in a dynamic dialogue about the various facets of planned startups, addressing their specific concerns and curiosities.

The Daejeon Innovative Technology Exchange welcomes not only established and budding entrepreneurs but also any member of the public with an interest in the startup ecosystem. Those wishing to attend can register through the Naver Form provided (https://naver.me/xv3naSrO) or by scanning the QR code featured on the event poster. For additional information or inquiries, interested parties are encouraged to contact the Technology Commercialization Team at the Daejeon Technopark at ☎042-930-4815.

Choi Won-hyeok, Director of Daejeon City's Corporate Support Division, emphasized the strategic advantages of planned startups, stating, "By involving investors and incubators from the very beginning, planned startups can significantly reduce the learning curve and increase the probability of achieving sustainable growth. We strongly encourage anyone considering or curious about entrepreneurship to participate in this exchange and gain valuable knowledge that can empower their future endeavors."

This third DITEC event underscores Daejeon's commitment to fostering a vibrant and innovative startup environment within the region, connecting promising ideas with the resources and expertise needed to thrive in today's competitive market.
