Doosan Group has announced a significant expansion of its childbirth and childcare support system to promote work-life balance for its employees. A new "Parental Leave Supporters Grant" has been introduced this year, providing up to 500,000 KRW per person to team members of employees who take parental leave for six months or more. This initiative aims to alleviate the burden on colleagues during their coworkers' absence.
Birth congratulatory payments have been increased to 3 million KRW for the first child, 5 million KRW for the second, and 10 million KRW for the third or more. Additionally, childcare subsidies of 200,000 KRW per month will be provided for two years, starting when the child turns one year old.
Parental leave has been extended by one year beyond the statutory period, and spousal leave has also been expanded by 10 days. For the first month of legal parental leave, the company will cover the difference between the basic salary and government subsidies, reducing the financial strain on employees.
Doosan Group is also committed to providing additional support, including parking assistance for pregnant employees, psychological counseling for those returning to work, and emergency childcare services. These measures demonstrate the company's commitment to meeting the diverse needs of its employees.
