[Nonsan] The opening of the "2026 Nonsan Overseas Agricultural Food Fair," co-hosted with the Jakarta Provincial Government of Indonesia, is now only one week away.

The fair will take place for three days, from February 6 to 8, at Gandaria City Mall in Jakarta, Indonesia. Gandaria City Mall is located in the heart of South Jakarta's residential and lifestyle district; known for its large-scale entertainment facilities and excellent accessibility, it attracts a high volume of local residents and family visitors.

The decision to hold the event in Jakarta for the second consecutive year was largely driven by the official support and cooperation of the Indonesian central government and the Jakarta provincial government. The 2025 fair held in Indonesia was a resounding success, attracting approximately 430,000 visitors and selling a total of 18 tons of strawberries, sparking an explosive response from the local market.

Following this success, Indonesian authorities requested a repeat of the event. Through an agreement signed with the Jakarta Provincial Government in 2025, both parties pledged to co-host the agricultural food fair and expressed their mutual support and commitment to participating in the 2027 Nonsan World Strawberry Industry Expo.

This year, Nonsan City plans to promote its premium agricultural products, including strawberries, pears, and grapes, along with various processed foods, to expand its presence in the Southeast Asian market and solidify a sustainable export foundation. Furthermore, by co-hosting the event with Jakarta, the city aims to elevate the fair’s status as an international event through even richer and more diverse content.

In addition, the city will operate exhibition and experience booths, photo zones, and merchandise shops dedicated to promoting the 2027 Nonsan World Strawberry Industry Expo, aiming to convey the charm of the Expo in an approachable manner and garner international attention.

"This Nonsan Overseas Agricultural Food Fair will serve as an opportunity to once again imprint the competitiveness of Nonsan's excellent agricultural products on the global market, including Indonesia," said Baek Seong-hyeon, Mayor of Nonsan. "We will not only host a successful fair through cooperation with the provincial government but also further expand the platform for international exchange leading up to the 2027 Nonsan World Strawberry Industry Expo."
