Taean International Horticulture Therapy Expo Gains Global Attention with Promotion at Osaka Expo

OSAKA, JAPAN – The organizing committee for the 2026 Taean International Horticulture Therapy Expo successfully conducted promotional activities at the 2025 Osaka-Kansai World Expo (Osaka Expo) from May 13th to 16th, significantly raising international awareness for the upcoming horticultural event.

The committee participated in the ‘K-Tourism Festa Korea Tourism Day’ held at the Osaka Expo, using the platform to showcase the pristine natural environment of Taean, South Korea, and the intrinsic values of horticulture and therapeutic practices. Their efforts aimed to generate considerable interest in the 2026 Taean International Horticulture Therapy Expo among the global audience present at the World Expo.

At the dedicated promotional pavilion, the organizing committee highlighted the essence of Korean horticultural culture and the scenic beauty of Taean through captivating video presentations. Furthermore, they engaged visitors with a variety of interactive experience programs designed to provide a glimpse into what the 2026 Taean International Horticulture Therapy Expo will offer. A notable initiative was a cheering relay event for the Taean Expo, which effectively boosted public recognition of the upcoming international exhibition.

Kim Ki-jeong, the General Director of the Taean International Horticulture Therapy Expo, stated, "Participating in the globally renowned Osaka Expo provided an invaluable opportunity to promote the Taean International Horticulture Therapy Expo to a worldwide audience. We are committed to elevating the international standing of the expo and ensuring meticulous preparations so that visitors from all corners of the globe will be drawn to Taean in 2026 to experience the breathtaking beauty of the Chungnam West Coast and the excellence of Korean horticulture."

The 2025 Osaka-Kansai World Expo, themed "Designing Future Society for Our Lives," is a significant global event attracting participants and visitors from around the world. Hosting various cultural events and exhibitions, it serves as an ideal venue for the Taean Expo organizing committee to reach a diverse international audience. The Korean Pavilion, where the Taean Expo promotion took place, aimed to showcase the dynamism and cultural richness of South Korea, making it a fitting backdrop for introducing the unique offerings of the horticulture therapy expo.

The Taean International Horticulture Therapy Expo 2026, co-hosted by the South Chungcheong Province and Taean County, is scheduled to take place from April 25th to May 24th, 2026. Under the theme "Healthy Future Found in Nature: Horticulture & Therapy," the month-long event aspires to attract approximately 1.82 million visitors from 40 countries. The expo intends to highlight the therapeutic benefits of horticulture, showcasing innovative gardening techniques, healing landscapes, and the profound connection between nature and well-being. Taean's natural beauty, characterized by its coastal landscapes and rich biodiversity, will serve as a compelling backdrop for this international event, promising a unique and enriching experience for attendees. The successful promotional activities at the Osaka Expo mark a significant step in drawing global attention to this promising international exposition.
