TUYEN QUANG, Vietnam – Tuyen Quang province in northern Vietnam has unveiled its 2025 investment promotion program, aiming to attract VNĐ10 trillion (US$400 million) in non-budget investment and establish 395 new businesses. The province is positioning itself as a prime investment destination by highlighting its business-friendly environment, supportive policies, and untapped potential across various sectors.

The comprehensive program involves market research, trend analysis, and strategic partnerships to showcase Tuyen Quang's advantages. A robust information system is being developed, promotional materials are being created, and training courses are being offered to enhance investment promotion capabilities. The province is actively seeking collaboration at both local and international levels.

The strategy focuses on attracting selective domestic and foreign investment, improving the business environment, streamlining administrative procedures, and accelerating project implementation. Key initiatives include developing industrial parks and clusters, creating clean land inventories, and improving infrastructure and human resources. Tuyen Quang is prioritizing transformative growth in high-tech agriculture, manufacturing, supporting industries, and tourism.

The province's development strategy emphasizes industry as the primary driver, agriculture as the foundation, and services as a supporting pillar.

Key Sector Focus:

Industry: New industrial parks and clusters, including Nhữ Khê-Đội Cấn, An Hòa-Long Bình An, Xuân Vân, and Ninh Lai-Thiện Kế, will focus on attracting investment in processing industries, renewable energy, construction materials, and high-tech industries.
Agriculture: Tuyen Quang aims to become a high-tech wood processing hub and attract investment in smart agriculture and raw material production linked to the processing of oranges, tea, medicinal herbs, and forest carbon credits.
Services (Commerce and Tourism): Investment will target tourism infrastructure in Tân Trào, Mỹ Lâm, and Na Hang-Lâm Bình, along with the development of shopping outlets, high-end hotels, and modern healthcare and education facilities.
Tuyen Quang is heavily investing in socio-economic infrastructure, particularly transportation, urban development, and information technology, to improve inter-regional connectivity. The province is prioritizing green investments associated with digital transformation, the circular economy, artificial intelligence, and renewable energy. Special emphasis is placed on partnerships with multinational corporations for large-scale, high-value-added projects.

Last year, Tuyen Quang signed six international cooperation agreements, securing high-tech projects from Germany, Japan, and South Korea. The province also saw the establishment of 267 new businesses and 24 new cooperatives, bringing the total number of operating firms to 2,837. Notable projects launched in 2023 include a flooring production factory funded by Singapore in Yên Sơn District and Japan’s EREX SAKURA Tuyên Quang biomass fuel plant. The 2025 program builds on this momentum, aiming to further accelerate economic growth and attract significant foreign investment.
