Establishing a policy base linked to the 8th popular election pledge… promoting the expansion of data-based administration
Integrated support for data-based commercial district information and customized consulting

Daejeon Metropolitan City will officially launch the "Small Business Commercial District Analysis Service" (https://golmok.djbea.or.kr) on March 31st to support aspiring entrepreneurs and small business owners in preparing for startups and achieving stable management.

This project is a pledge of the 8th Daejeon Metropolitan City administration, aiming to prevent excessive competition among self-employed individuals through data-based commercial district analysis and to foster competitive small business owners.

After completing system construction in May of last year, the service underwent pilot operation and function enhancement from June to December. This year marks the full-scale launch, initiating the provision of comprehensive services.

Anyone can use the service for free after signing up. It provides aspiring entrepreneurs with information for initial decision-making, such as selecting business types and locations, while supporting existing small business owners in establishing management strategies for increasing sales, business conversion, and store improvement.

The "Commercial District Analysis Service" is a platform that integrates four key functions: ▲Small Business Analysis Service ▲Small Business Support Experts ▲Small Business Support Projects ▲Small Business Data Sets.

The "Small Business Analysis Service" visualizes and provides analysis reports containing data on ▲business type analysis (distribution status, closure rate, etc.) ▲sales analysis (monthly trends, weekday status, etc.) ▲demographic analysis (average daily floating population, gender/age group ratio, weekday/time-of-day status, residential population status, etc.) for each administrative district or commercial area within the city. It also allows users to compare two or more areas of interest at a glance.

The data used for analysis consists of a total of 29 types of the latest information collected from public and private institutions and will be updated periodically on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

The "Small Business Support Experts" consist of 71 experts in five fields: ▲management ▲marketing ▲technology ▲digital transformation ▲law, providing practical support tailored to the business type and situation of small business owners.

Starting this year, the city plans to expand customized consulting in digital fields such as AI and SNS, and increase the number of consulting sessions from the previous two to three or more to strengthen the follow-up system.

During the pilot operation last year, 140 consulting sessions were provided to 82 individuals, and a satisfaction survey revealed that over 84% responded that it was "substantially helpful."

The "Small Business Support Projects" provide a one-stop connection to currently open support project applications, and the "Small Business Data Sets" offer a data download function for anyone to utilize.

This service goes beyond simple startup support and is also used for policy formulation by Daejeon Metropolitan City and related organizations. Based on the accumulated data, it provides analysis materials necessary for setting the direction of small business policies and planning support projects, laying the foundation for citizen-oriented data administration.

Furthermore, a G-cloud-based system infrastructure has been established to ensure security and operational stability, and dedicated personnel will be assigned to systematically manage the timeliness and quality of commercial district data and maintain the system.

Daejeon Mayor Lee Jang-woo stated, "The commercial district analysis service, a core pledge of the 8th popular election, will greatly contribute to establishing data-based startup strategies and stabilizing management. We will continue to expand practical support measures that small business owners can feel."
