[GLOBAL ECONOMIC TIMES]  There was discussion about holding a sea festival on Yongyu Island at the Industrial and Economic Committee of the Incheon Metropolitan City Council.

According to the Incheon City Council Industry and Economy Committee on the 17th, on the 16th, in the city council seminar room, Rep. Shin Seong-young (National, Jung-gu 2) presided over the meeting, with the head of the Incheon City Arts Policy Department, the head of the Tourism and MICE Department, the head of the Media and Culture Division of the Incheon Economic Office, the team leader of the Culture and Tourism Department of the Incheon Jung-gu Office, and three resident representatives. A meeting was held to discuss the 'Yongyu Sea Festival' attended by others.

At the meeting on this day, various alternatives were presented for holding a new sea festival on Yongyu Island and making it a regular event.

Yongyudo Island boasts a natural environment with the open West Sea, mudflats, and dense pine forests, but it is difficult to find a sea festival with such beautiful nature as a backdrop, which is disappointing for many people.

Representative Shin Seong-young said, “Holding a new sea festival with the beautiful natural environment of Yongyu Island as a backdrop will bring joy to local residents and help revitalize the local economy,” adding, “Starting with this meeting, we will create a successful festival with local residents.” “I’m going out,” he said.

Meanwhile, Incheon City and Jung-gu Office plan to establish specific plans for the Yongyu Island Sea Festival based on the content discussed at this meeting and prepare for the festival in close cooperation with local residents.
