With just two days remaining until the opening of the 60th Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province Citizens' Sports Festival, Samcheok City successfully held a pep rally for its athletic delegation at the Samcheok Multi-purpose Gymnasium on June 10. The rally was conducted with great public interest, wishing for the successful hosting of the festival and the outstanding performance of the Samcheok City team.

The Mayor of Samcheok, who attended the rally, emphasized that "the Citizens' Sports Festival is more than just a sporting event; it's a festival symbolizing regional harmony through sports and promoting the health of provincial residents." The 60th Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province Citizens' Sports Festival will be held in Samcheok City for five days, from June 12 to 16. Samcheok City has made thorough preparations in various aspects for the successful operation of the festival, including inspecting sports facilities, ensuring safety management, and training volunteers.
