Córdoba experienced a surge of adrenaline and tourism during the extended Carnival weekend, hosting the highly successful MXGP Argentina YPF 2025. The international motocross championship, which drew significant crowds, took place on March 1st and 2nd at the state-of-the-art Infinito Race Track.

The event, featuring more than 40 skilled riders per category, was held at the recently opened Infinito Race Track, situated within the new Infinito Open complex, strategically located along the Ruta 9 highway and Circunvalación.

Córdoba officials emphasized the city's advantageous infrastructure, accessibility, and connectivity, both by air and land, which position it as a prime location for hosting large-scale events. The economic impact of such events on the local economy is substantial, stimulating the regional gastronomy, hospitality, and commercial sectors. This was further amplified by the high hotel occupancy rates during the Carnival long weekend.

The municipal Sub-Secretariat of Tourism established an information booth at the venue, providing attendees with details about the diverse attractions and offerings of Córdoba.

This marked the first time the MXGP competition has been held in Córdoba's capital city, and the 10th Grand Prix held in Argentina since its inaugural edition in Salta in 1985. Notably, Córdoba will be the sole host city in the Americas for this year's championship, the 68th edition of the competition.

Motor sports enthusiasts can look forward to the event returning to Córdoba for the next three years, solidifying the city's position as a premier destination for international sporting events.
