Dutch Young Entrepreneur Fabio Vitto: AI Innovation and Leisure Blooming in Asunción, Paraguay

Asunción, the capital of Paraguay, where people from all over the globe gather, has quietly established itself as a melting pot where culture, ideas, and passion intersect. The "Afterwork English Networking" event, hosted every other Tuesday evening by the English-language media outlet The Asunción Times, is a prime gathering place for digital nomads, expatriates, and friendly locals. The 31st installment of the media’s planning series, "People of Asunción," highlighted the story of Fabio Vitto from the Netherlands.

A Dutch-Italian of mixed descent from Amsterdam, Fabio Vitto settled in Paraguay in early 2026. While operating his corporate AI automation business remotely, he is actively exploring new opportunities in the Paraguayan market.

New Challenges and Business Vision in Paraguay

Fabio Vitto first set foot in Paraguay earlier this year thanks to a brief visit. Returning from a trip to Brazil, he gained the conviction that numerous opportunities exist here. He discovered vast potential in service sectors that are already common in Europe but have yet to be introduced to Paraguay.

His business, "Clarity Craft," was launched about two years ago with a business partner during their university days. They help companies automate business processes and introduce AI for business. Their core mission is to solve the frustrations companies face when managing dozens of scattered spreadsheets and to integrate all data into a single system, helping executives grasp their business at a glance. The name itself reflects their intention to deliver clarity.

Daily Life in Asunción and the Charm of Paraguay

Vitto's favorite spot in Asunción is "La Cuadrita," a small restaurant street located in the Recoleta district. He explains that because it is near his home, free from traffic noise, and surrounded by lush trees, the atmosphere is very calm and peaceful.

On the other hand, the most impressive place he visited outside Asunción was the Iguazu Falls near Ciudad del Este. Hailing from Amsterdam, a city surrounded by water, environments lacking water sometimes make him homesick, and the magnificent waterfalls soothe that longing.

The greatest charm of Paraguay, according to him, is its warm people. Paraguayan people are open and full of curiosity, spontaneously striking up conversations about where someone is from and why they came to Paraguay, making it easy to make friends. It brings him great joy to connect like-minded individuals with ambitions and watch something meaningful sprout among them.

He is also satisfied with being able to enjoy a relaxed pace of life, away from the breathless speed and stress of Europe. While acknowledging the advantage of a relatively lower cost of living compared to Amsterdam, he also expressed delicate empathy for the hardships local residents face as Asunción's prices have risen steeply recently.

Homesickness and the Attitude to Life Learned in Paraguay

What he misses most from his hometown are his family and friends. Like a quintessential Dutch bike tattoo, he wishes he could ride a bicycle everywhere he goes, but he regrets that a car is primarily needed in Paraguay due to its different public transportation environment. As someone of Italian descent, he also noted with a hint of regret that while Asunción's food is great, it differs from the authentic tastes back home.

When asked what he would take with him if he had to leave Paraguay tomorrow, he unhesitatingly chose the local traditional tea, Tereré. Along with this, he stated that he would take away the wisdom of slowing down sometimes, escaping the European obsession with speed. He learned the lesson that a slow-paced attitude can actually help one go further.

Fabio Vitto’s journey simultaneously demonstrates the inclusiveness of Asunción and the potential of global young entrepreneurs. You can meet him directly through his Instagram account or by attending the "The Asunción Times" networking events held at various restaurants across Asunción.
