Starting from the 12th, the Hantan River Autumn Flower Festa drew over 20,000 visitors over just this past weekend alone, showing an explosive response. In particular, with the day-and-night unfolding of "Flowers by Day, Light by Night" and the night media art "Terra Fantasia," it offers optimal conditions for a family and relative outing.

According to Jungbu Ilbo's general coverage on the 23rd, stepping into the festival grounds of the 'Pocheon Hantan River Garden Festa' greets visitors with autumn flower gardens dyed in brilliant colors. Representative autumn flowers create a magnificent spectacle, including purple verbena, swaying gaura, silver waves of eulalia grass, chrysanthemums, and globe amaranth. In addition, an exotic tropical garden featuring banana and papaya trees is created together, presenting an unusual autumn landscape.

During the Chuseok holiday, starting with indie band busking performances and balloon shows, various sights and child-friendly experience programs will be held, such as worry stone making, keycap and keyring making, kite flying, and badge making. Furthermore, in collaboration with 'My Animal Story in Pyeonggang Land', animal interaction experiences will be operated to get up close with cute animals like teddy bear cows, Boer goats, and Valais Blacknose sheep. Special horseback riding experiences are also scheduled for October 3rd and 4th.

The 'Hantan River Garden Festa' is also an optimal location for pet-family members. With a spacious and pleasant dog playground and walking trails established, you can enjoy the autumn breeze together with your companion dog. Beyond this, a barefoot loess healing garden where you can feel the soil with your feet, a Metasequoia path, and a Lombardy poplar tree-lined path unfold, allowing you to walk along them or tour the ecological landscape complex by riding an eco-friendly electric bicycle. The Hantan River Y-shaped suspension bridge, boasting the longest length in Korea, provides an opportunity to view the scenic beauty of the Hantan River columnar joints at a glance.

The charm of the Hantan River continues into the night with a spectacle of fireworks. 'Terra Fantasia' is a night-walk media art park created on Korea's largest scale, making it well-suited as a representative Hantan River night tourism content, having been selected as a Gyeonggi-do night view attraction by the Gyeonggi Tourism Organization. During the Chuseok holiday period, operating hours are specially extended until 11 PM.

Admission & Information

Admission fees for the Garden Festa are 7,000 won for general visitors and 5,000 won for children and adolescents, with 4,000 won and 3,000 won respectively refunded as Pocheon Love Certificates (local currency). Admission is free for Pocheon citizens, and a 50% discounted rate of 3,500 won is available for those aged 65 and older and residents of reciprocal partner cities. The Pocheon Love Certificates can be used at the Hantan River River Market prepared within the festival grounds or at commercial districts within the jurisdiction. In particular, visitors can enjoy Pocheon's representative agricultural specialties and diverse foods, allowing them to fully enjoy a bountiful Chuseok atmosphere.
