As the competition to apply Artificial Intelligence (AI) to robots and industrial facilities intensifies, data management capabilities for AI training are emerging as a decisive factor for success. Implementing operational AI in the field requires not only massive amounts of training data but also a systematic framework for continuous development and management. Superb AI, a startup that has turned this data process into a platform, is gaining significant attention in the field of "Physical AI."
Superb AI provides a unified platform for building and operating data necessary for image and video-based AI development. By integrating everything from data selection and processing to post-training performance management, the company enables rapid verification of Vision AI for immediate field application. With 63 billion KRW in cumulative investment as of this month, the company is preparing for an Initial Public Offering (IPO) this year.
Recently, the company's focus has been shifting from generative AI to Physical AI. Superb AI is participating as a key technical partner in the "National AI Foundation Model Project" consortium led by the LG AI Research Institute. Among the startups in the consortium, it is the only one responsible for Vision AI, handling AI training data and operational technologies for robots and industrial sites.
To further advance its technology, the company is also pursuing academic-industrial cooperation. On the 28th, Superb AI signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Robot Learning Laboratory of the Department of Electrical Engineering at POSTECH for collaboration in the fields of AI and robotics.
