This convention is designed for forest owners and professional foresters nationwide to gather in one place, share information and experiences for forest management and forestry development, and explore a sustainable future for forests. Approximately 10,000 foresters from across the country are expected to visit Samcheok, raising expectations that participants' interest will lead to local tourism and consumption, thereby helping the local economy.

During the convention, events such as the "Future of South Korea's Forestry" and the "2026 National Forest Owners and Foresters Convention" will take place. Forest owners and professional foresters nationwide plan to share forest management cases from each region and exchange opinions to enhance the competitiveness of forestry.

The "National Forest Products 9-Province Cooking Contest," which promotes the utilization value and excellence of forest products, will also be held. By showcasing distinctive forest products dishes from various regions across the country, the event plans to introduce diverse possibilities for utilizing forest products.

Throughout the convention period, events for participants to mingle together will be held, including a pre-ceremony performance by the Gangwon State Provincial Arts Troupe's Korean Traditional Orchestra, a welcome night, the "Lim-gun Singing Contest," and invitation singer and belly dance performances. On the final day, the three-day schedule will conclude with a performance by the Samcheok Neoreunmadang Pungmulpae, an awards ceremony, a lucky draw, and a closing ceremony.

To ensure smooth convention operations, Samcheok City is conducting advance inspections of the venue and major facilities, and is preparing measures by sector, including traffic, parking, and safety management. During the event period, traffic around the Samcheok Culture and Arts Center will be controlled for the safety of participants and citizens.

Accordingly, vehicle traffic on roads around the Samcheok Culture and Arts Center may be partially restricted from October 7 to 9, prompting a request for active cooperation from citizens and drivers using the section to utilize detour roads and cooperate with traffic controls.

A Samcheok City official stated, "As this is a major event where professional foresters from all over the country gather in Samcheok, we are doing our utmost in preparation by sector so that the convention can be held safely and successfully." They added, "Through this convention, we will publicize Samcheok's abundant forest resources, excellent forest products, and tourism resources nationwide, making it an event that injects new vitality into local forestry and the economy."
