If you are a motorcycle rider looking for an extraordinary autumn travel destination, Inje, Gangwon State, is set to become your ultimate getaway. Gangwon State, Inje-gun, and the Gangwon Tourism Organization (CEO Choi Sung-hyun) are co-hosting the "Misiryeong Healing-Gado Motorcycle Festa"—officially named the Road Spirit Motorcycle Festa—for a two-day run from October 23 (Friday) to October 24 (Saturday) at the Inje Speedium. This festival aims to vitalize tourism along the scenic Misiryeong Healing-Gado route, foster new regional festivals, attract more visitors, and stimulate the local economy.

A Journey of Riding, Enjoyment, and Staying

This event is designed as a comprehensive two-day festival combining the thrill of motorcycle riding with the unique charm of traveling through Gangwon State. Participants will have the opportunity to experience professional circuit driving at the Inje Speedium, enjoy the breathtaking landscape along the Misiryeong Healing-Gado route, and participate in a stamp tour discovering various tourist spots across Inje. The festival successfully embodies a complete riding journey defined by three core concepts: "Ride, Enjoy, and Stay."

Misiryeong Healing-Gado: Where the Road Itself is a Destination

The primary stage of the festival, Misiryeong Healing-Gado, transforms ordinary transit into a core component of travel. Stretching from Hongcheon through Inje and Sokcho to Goseong, the route unfolds against a stunning backdrop of majestic mountains, serene valleys, crystal-clear lakes, and the deep blue East Sea. Rather than merely rushing toward a final destination, riders can immerse themselves in the rhythm of the road and the pure joy of cruising through picturesque scenery.

Diverse Programs and Key Highlights

The festival features a vibrant lineup of programs, including an eve-of-festival celebration performance, a grand opening ceremony, a motorcycle stamp tour, Inje Speedium circuit experiences, corporate promotional booths, academic seminars, lectures, and various auxiliary events.

Inje Speedium Circuit Experience: One of the most anticipated highlights for riders is the chance to hit the professional circuit. Offering high safety standards and an exciting layout set against mountainous terrain, the track lets riders experience high-speed dynamics and sharp cornering that are normally restricted on public roads.
Motorcycle Stamp Tour: This program invites riders to explore the hidden gems of Inje. By visiting major local attractions on two wheels to complete their stamps, participants can rediscover overlooked regional landmarks and carve out new, scenic riding pathways.
Lifestyle and Community Engagement: The festival bridges riding with local culture. Riders can pause to admire views, relax at local cafes and restaurants, and mingle with fellow enthusiasts. Furthermore, corporate exhibitions and seminars facilitate meaningful exchanges among riders, industry professionals, and tourism stakeholders, nurturing a vibrant community centered around motorcycle tourism.

Redefining Motorcycle Tourism in Gangwon State

The Road Spirit Motorcycle Festa marks a paradigm shift, redefining motorcycles not merely as utilitarian means of transportation, but as core tourism catalysts that connect regions. Instead of simply passing through Gangwon State, riders are encouraged to discover scenic roads, explore local attractions, and actively contribute to the local economy by dining, resting, and staying overnight.

The Gangwon Tourism Organization plans to leverage this festival to promote Gangwon as a premier region for riding, continuously generating new travel demands among motorcycle tourists. By tailoring tourism content to the preferences and mobility patterns of riders, the organization aims to continuously bridge motorcycle culture with regional travel.

Event Information and Accessibility

CEO Choi Sung-hyun of the Gangwon Tourism Organization noted, "In motorcycle travel, a great road is not just a means to an end, but the very reason for the journey. We hope this festival provides riders with an extraordinary autumn experience where they can carve through Gangwon's legendary roads, discover the charm of Inje, and enjoy circuit racing alongside regional sightseeing."

Detailed schedules, program itineraries, and participation guidelines for the Road Spirit Motorcycle Festa can be found on the official Gangwon Tourism Organization website (www.gwto.or.kr) or the dedicated Road Spirit Motorcycle Festa website (https://romofe.kr/). Specific sub-programs and application methods will be released sequentially.
