Chungcheongnam-do announced on the 30th that it inspected the final preparation status for the Gyeryong Military Culture Festival in the Gyeryong-si area.

With approximately 1 million visitors expected during the festival period and a peak instantaneous crowd estimated to reach 30,000, this inspection was arranged to review the overall event preparation status and facility installation conditions, as well as to examine on-site operational systems such as personnel deployment and traffic measures for visitor safety.

Attended by Administrative Vice Governor Hong Jong-wan, the Vice Mayor of Gyeryong, provincial and municipal officials, the Gyeryong City Culture and Tourism Foundation, the Ground Forces Festival Planning Group, the Gyeryong Fire Station, and the Nonsan Police Station, the inspection proceeded with a briefing on the preparation status of the military culture festival followed by an on-site facility inspection.

The Gyeryong Military Culture Festival will be held for five days from the 1st to the 5th of next month around the Gyeryongdae runway. On the 4th, a street parade featuring around 730 participants from the military and civic groups will take place along the route from Samjin Apartment in Gyeryong-si to Eumsa Intersection and Eumsa Three-way Intersection.

As this is a large-scale joint event combining the Military Culture Festival and the Ground Forces Festival, the province intensively checked: △ the operation of festival safety management organizations and general situation rooms; △ comprehensive safety management measures; △ advance training for event operators and safety management personnel; △ emergency response systems; △ the installation and management status of structures, fire, electrical, and gas facilities; and △ the securing of vehicle access routes within the festival venue.

In addition, officials checked the installation sites of major facilities such as performance stages, promotional halls, experience zones, and food courts, while discussing visitor movement paths and safety management plans for high-density crowd areas.

Vice Governor Hong stated, "As the Gyeryong Military Culture Festival is a nationally renowned autumn festival that could draw a massive crowd all at once, meticulous safety management—such as traffic measures and crowd dispersion in preparation for multi-crowd gatherings—is essential," adding, "We will do our utmost in festival preparation and on-site management to ensure visitor safety and provide convenience for vulnerable groups such as people with disabilities, the elderly, and children without any oversight."
