Iranian state television recently broadcast a three-minute video explicitly targeting Barron Trump, the youngest son of U.S. President Donald Trump, featuring a $10 million bounty and raising severe security concerns. The broadcast marks a significant escalation in tensions as the conflict between the United States and Iran, which began with strikes in February, enters its sixth month. 

According to reports from CNN and anti-regime media outlet Iran International, the video aired by Iran's state broadcaster IRIB opened with an English-language graphic asking, "Where to kill Barron Trump?" The footage attempted to track places associated with the 20-year-old New York University student and claimed that his movements were fully monitored. It concluded with an audio message stating that individuals were eagerly waiting to claim a $10 million reward. 

U.S. Secret Service spokesperson Nate Herring released a statement confirming that the agency is aware of the video. He emphasized that the Secret Service actively investigates any matter perceived as a threat toward its protectees, though specific protective intelligence details are withheld due to operational security. Experts note that the hostility from Tehran has intensified following the death of former Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei during the initial U.S.-Israeli strikes, leading hardline factions to expand their target list from President Trump and top officials to immediate family members. President Trump previously acknowledged these severe security risks last month, noting that threats from Iran prompted him to secretly travel on a military transport aircraft instead of Air Force One after attending a NATO summit. 

Despite the grave nature of these threats, the Trump administration plans to prioritize economic pressure over immediate military escalation. U.S. State Department officials have indicated that Washington will focus heavily on tightening economic sanctions and reinforcing the reverse blockade of the Strait of Hormuz to counter Iranian control, unless direct attacks occur. Meanwhile, regional dynamics remain fluid as Iran and Oman recently agreed to establish temporary joint shipping lanes and clear sea mines in the Hormuz Strait, reflecting ongoing friction over maritime security and passage.
