Gunsan, South Korea – Gunsan City announced on January 27th that it has successfully recruited new agricultural product exporters to target the U.S. market.

Three local companies, Eullim, Dumidle, and Lee Sung-il Farm, have been selected to lead this initiative. Eullim will introduce baked sweet potato chips and potato chips to the American market through H-Mart, a major Korean-American grocery chain. Meanwhile, Dumidle will offer tiramisu cream rice cakes and double cheese rice cakes on the online platform, Unexpected Meal.

Lee Sung-il Farm is also set to enter the U.S. market in March with Gunsan oat misutgaru (a traditional Korean powdered drink) and Yeosu oat misutgaru.

To support these export endeavors, the city has been providing various forms of assistance, including export capacity-building training, participation in overseas exhibitions, customs clearance seminars, and buyer-matching export consultations.

Kim Mi-jeong, the head of the Food Policy Division, expressed her optimism, stating, "Gunsan's agricultural and fishery products are gaining recognition in the global market. Moving forward, we plan to expand our reach into Southeast Asian markets such as Vietnam and China."
