The Sejong City Para-Sports Association's table tennis team has demonstrated exceptional skill and competitive edge, securing a total of five medals—one gold, one silver, and three bronze—at the 11th Gyeongsangbuk-do Governor's National Para-Table Tennis Championship.

The prestigious two-day tournament took place on September 4–5 at the Andong Gymnasium in Gyeongsangbuk-do. The event brought together elite para-table tennis athletes from metropolitan cities and provinces across South Korea. Competitors were categorized into various classes based on their functional ability, spanning physical impairments from Class 1 to Class 10 (upper and lower extremities), Class 11 (intellectual disabilities), and the Deaf (DF) category. 

Representing Sejong City, a determined delegation of 13 athletes stepped up to the tables, showcasing months of rigorous training, sweat, and unwavering dedication. Their hard work paid off spectacularly across the singles events, putting Sejong's athletic prowess firmly in the spotlight. 

In the men's singles, Ahn Nam-jin, representing Sejong City, delivered a masterclass performance to claim the gold medal in the Class 5 division, clinching the top spot on the podium. Following closely in the same fiercely contested class, Park Myung-geun, an athlete tied through corporate linkage with Coupang Logistics, secured the silver medal. Adding to the men's tally, Bang Yang-joo—also linked via Coupang Logistics—fought hard to capture the bronze medal in the Class 10 division. 

The women's singles division brought further glory to the delegation. Ha Jae-ryun (Coupang Logistics corporate linkage) earned a bronze medal in the Class 5 category, while Jung Yeon-hee (Sejong City) added another bronze to the team's count in the Class 4 category. These achievements highlight not only individual brilliance but also the strong collaborative framework between local sports authorities and corporate partners like Coupang Logistics in supporting adaptive athletes. 

This impressive medal haul serves as a powerful morale booster for the Sejong team as they look ahead to even larger stages. Im Kyu-mo, Secretary-General of the Sejong City Para-Sports Association, expressed his pride in the athletes' achievements and shared optimistic prospects for the future. "Our athletes have proven their competitiveness through absolute perseverance," Im stated. "As we now turn our focus toward achieving remarkable results at the upcoming National Para-Sports Games in Jeju Island, we ask for the continued interest, warm encouragement, and active support of our citizens." 

With momentum firmly on their side, the Sejong City para-table tennis team returns home not just with hardware, but with renewed confidence, inspiring communities and setting their sights firmly on upcoming national victories.
