The 5th Hansol Baekje Culture Festival to Be Held on the 7th: A Celebration of History and Culture

Hansol-dong, Sejong Special Self-Governing City (Head of Dong: Jung Eun-joo), announced that it will host the "5th Hansol Baekje Culture Festival" on the 7th across Achimtteul Neighborhood Park, the Hansol-dong Baekje Tombs, and Hangeul Sarang Street.

This year's festival is designed to raise awareness of the historical significance of the Hansol-dong Baekje Tombs—which were designated as a National Historic Site last year—while providing local residents with opportunities to experience regional history firsthand and connect with one another.

The event will kick off with taekwondo and dance performances by local students, followed by an opening ceremony, cultural performances, and a Baekje history-themed "Golden Bell" quiz competition.

At Achimtteul Neighborhood Park, visitors can enjoy a variety of engaging experiential programs designed to make Baekje culture more accessible, such as making Baekje pottery, trying on traditional Baekje clothing, and constructing sweet-treat replicas of Baekje pagodas. Additional attractions include instant photo booths and general activity booths run by local organizations and school clubs.

In addition, a stamp tour will be held around the Baekje Tombs, allowing visitors to explore the area's rich cultural heritage and reflect on the historical value of Hansol-dong.

As evening approaches, the festival atmosphere will reach its peak with diverse performances by professional artists along Hangeul Sarang Street.

Lee Jang-yeol, Chairperson of the Hansol-dong Residents' Association, stated, "We have prepared this festival so that residents can come together while spreading awareness of the Hansol-dong Baekje Tombs, our precious cultural heritage. We hope many visitors will appreciate the value of Baekje culture and create wonderful memories."
