Cheonan City announced on the 1st that it will support qualification exam application fees to alleviate the economic burden on job seekers.

Eligible exams include National Technical Qualifications (540 types), National Professional Qualifications (248 types), Nationally Accredited Private Qualifications (96 types), language proficiency tests (19 types), and the Korean History Proficiency Test.

Applicants must be aged between 19 and 64 (inclusive) as of the application date, reside in Cheonan City according to their resident registration, and be unemployed as of the exam date.

Applications are open until May 16th and can be submitted online through the Cheonan City Job Support Center website and via email. In-person applications can be made at the Job Economy Division of Cheonan City Hall.

Applicants can receive a refund of the support funds after taking the exam by submitting receipts and related documents, which will then undergo review.

Regardless of the exam result, support funds will be provided as local love gift certificates up to 50,000 KRW per person based on the actual exam fee paid, and this support is available up to two times per year
