Taebaek, South Korea – The city of Taebaek announced today that it will host the 2025 Taebaek Snow Trail Run on January 19th. The race will take place in the stunning natural landscapes of Yeonhwasan and Daejobong mountains.

Trail running, a sport involving running on natural surfaces such as mountains, trails, or fields, has gained popularity in recent years. The Taebaek Snow Trail Run offers participants two challenging courses: a 13km and a 30km route. Runners will traverse the picturesque mountainous terrain of Taebaek, including Taebaeksan, Eopyeongjae, Hambaeksan, and Jijiri Valley.

The Taebaek Triathlon Association, which is organizing the event, plans to host a duathlon in the latter half of the year, further capitalizing on the region's mountainous terrain.

"We invite everyone to experience the beauty of Taebaek's natural landscapes while participating in this exciting trail running event," said a representative from the Taebaek city government. "We are committed to hosting various sporting events throughout the year to promote Taebaek as a premier destination for outdoor enthusiasts."

The Taebaek Snow Trail Run promises to be a thrilling event for both seasoned trail runners and those looking for a new challenge. With its challenging courses and breathtaking scenery, the race is sure to attract athletes from all over the country.
