EcoPro, a leading manufacturer of secondary battery materials, has been selected as a "Community Contribution Company" for the sixth consecutive year, as announced by the company on November 28th.

The "Community Contribution Recognition Program," jointly hosted by the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Korea Social Welfare Society, recognizes companies and organizations that have partnered with non-profit organizations to carry out community contribution activities.

Since its inception in 2019, EcoPro has been actively involved in various community contribution activities, collaborating with organizations such as the Community Chest of Korea, the Red Cross, Good Neighbors, Green Umbrella Children's Foundation, and local governments including Chungbuk Province, Gyeongbuk Province, Cheongju City, and Pohang City.

One of EcoPro's notable initiatives is the "EcoPro Green Day" event, which has become a popular annual family and environmental festival in the region, attracting over 6,000 participants in its most recent edition. The company also runs a "Mother Box Delivery Campaign" to provide essential items to low-income families with newborns. Since 2020, this campaign has supported over 1,146 families with approximately 285 million won worth of supplies.

To promote inclusivity, EcoPro established the "Onnuri Sports Team" in 2019, supporting individuals with disabilities through sports. The team's 52 athletes recently achieved remarkable results at the 44th National Sports Festival for Persons with Disabilities, winning a total of 46 medals, including 8 gold medals.

Recognizing its significant contributions to regional development, EcoPro was also awarded a special merit award by the Local Era Committee for its outstanding achievements in regional balanced development. The company has established its headquarters in Ochang, Chungbuk, and a large-scale secondary battery material production base in Pohang, Gyeongbuk.
