The Sejong City and the Sejong City Culture and Tourism Foundation (CEO Park Young-kook) announced that they have expanded the 'Sejong Love Restaurants' network to a total of 98 locations following citizen recommendations, big data analysis, and expert reviews.

Key Details of the Expansion

Total Selection: A total of 98 locations are now designated as Sejong Love Restaurants, combining 44 from last year with 54 newly added locations in 2026.
Regional Distribution: The 54 newly selected spots consist of 33 locations in new urban districts and 21 locations in old urban districts.
Diverse Cuisines: The selections span a wide range of categories, including Korean, Chinese, Japanese, cafes, and bakeries, highlighting the diverse food cultures across different parts of Sejong.

Tourism and Promotion Plans

The Foundation plans to utilize these restaurants as core gourmet tourism resources by integrating them with various travel programs:

Sejong Gourmet Exploration: A central platform introducing Sejong's restaurants and related projects.
The Table of Sejong: A same-day gourmet experience program linking seasonal ingredients with Sejong Love Restaurants.
Sejong O-Sik (Five Meals): A 1-night, 2-day program combining Sejong's gourmet resources with local tourist attractions to naturally expand dining into local tourism.

Marketing and Visitor Convenience

Information Access: Detailed information is provided via the 'Sejong Gourmet Travel' website and official restaurant guidebooks.
Convenience Support: Support will be provided for creating multilingual and QR code menus to enhance accessibility for visitors.
Promotions: Online and offline events, such as visitor stamp rallies, will be conducted to encourage actual visits and boost local economic consumption.

"This year, we built a broad candidate pool based on citizen recommendations and finalized the selections through strict expert evaluations. We will actively promote these restaurants as Sejong's representative culinary resources and develop them into unique gourmet tourism contents." — Han Kyung-ah, Head of the Tourism Business Division
