Kronos Real Estate Group, a leading player in the Iberian real estate market, has announced the appointment of Alda Filipe to its committee of partners. This landmark decision marks Filipe as the first woman in Portugal and only the second in the entire Iberian Peninsula to achieve this prestigious position within the firm. Filipe also serves as the Group’s Regional Director and Board Member for the Algarve’s renowned Vale do Lobo resort.

With a distinguished 25-year career in the real estate sector, Filipe brings a wealth of commercial expertise to her new role. She has been a driving force behind the transformation of several luxury resorts in the Algarve, most recently spearheading the brand repositioning of Vale do Lobo. This involved strategic investments in new facilities, including enhanced tennis and padel courts, the addition of three new restaurants, and significant infrastructure improvements. Filipe also oversaw the creation of a compelling new real estate offering within the resort.

Prior to joining Kronos Homes in 2019 and her impactful work at Vale do Lobo, Filipe oversaw iconic and pioneering assets such as Palmares Ocean Living & Golf and Amendoeira Golf Resort. Her leadership has propelled these resorts onto the international stage, solidifying Kronos's reputation for luxury and innovation in the Iberian market. Notably, Filipe is also the first Regional Director within the Kronos Group to be promoted to partner.

In her expanded strategic role as partner, Filipe will play a key part in shaping the Kronos Group’s vision for sustainable and innovative growth in developing, managing, and investing in real estate assets across Spain and Portugal.

“Alda Filipe’s appointment as partner represents a significant milestone in the growth of Kronos,” said Saïd Hejal, Founding Partner and CEO of Kronos Real Estate Group. “Her exceptional commercial acumen and talent have been instrumental in the company’s international expansion. Her deep industry knowledge and ability to develop unique projects have established Kronos Homes as a benchmark for real estate in the Algarve and a prestigious brand globally.”

Rui Meneses Ferreira, Partner and CEO of Kronos Homes, added, “Alda’s appointment is a pivotal moment for Kronos Homes and reflects her profound impact on our success in Portugal. Her unparalleled strategic vision and unwavering commitment to excellence have guided some of the group’s most iconic projects, transforming landmark assets and setting new standards in the luxury segment. This appointment recognizes her performance and dedication and reinforces our strategy of sustainable growth and innovation. We are confident that her leadership will further solidify Kronos Homes’ position as a leader in the Iberian real estate market, contributing significantly to our legacy and positive impact on the communities we serve.”

Filipe expressed her enthusiasm, stating, “Being part of the Kronos Real Estate Group team has been an incredibly enriching experience. Becoming a partner is a significant milestone in my career and a source of immense pride. From the beginning, I have been deeply aligned with Kronos Homes’ values – integrity, innovation, and an unwavering commitment to excellence. I am excited to continue contributing my experience to developing remarkable real estate projects that enrich our company’s legacy and positively impact the communities where we operate.”

Kronos Homes’ Algarve Success:

Kronos Homes has demonstrated strong performance in the Algarve, recording €140 million in real estate unit sales between 2023 and 2024. Of this, €100 million was generated in Vale do Lobo, with 30% of transactions coming from existing investors in the resort, underscoring the success of the resort’s strategic repositioning.

Since 2023, Kronos Homes’ Algarve portfolio has been significantly strengthened through the acquisition of a substantial collection of real estate and tourism assets via a consortium led by Davidson Kempner. Vale do Lobo, a key asset within this portfolio, has seen considerable investment in recent years, including the new sports facilities, restaurants, and infrastructure enhancements.

Looking Ahead to 2025:

In 2025, Kronos Homes will launch The Residences Vale do Lobo, the first new Vale do Lobo-branded development in over two decades. This exclusive development will consist of 44 luxury units, further cementing Kronos’s commitment to the region.
