Daejeon Yuseong-gu to Host Two-Day Music Festival at Gwanpyeongcheon Outdoor Plaza… Diverse Performances and Experiential Programs to Beat the Summer Heat

Daejeon Yuseong-gu will host the 'Yuseong Music Festa in Midsummer Night' for two days, from August 1st to 2nd, at the Gwanpyeongcheon Outdoor Plaza. This festival is expected to offer music and various attractions to citizens weary of the hot summer nights, while also contributing to the revitalization of the local commercial district.

The festival's opening ceremony will be held on August 1st at 7 PM on the main stage at Gwanpyeongcheon Outdoor Plaza, signaling the start of the festival with a powerful performance by the band 58D. Following this, popular Korean musicians such as Standing Egg, beloved for their emotional vocals, Men in Blues, who will showcase the essence of blues music, and Vincent Blue, a singer-songwriter with a unique voice, will present diverse stages. Additionally, busking performances by indie bands and local artists will take place throughout the venue, further enhancing the festive atmosphere.

In addition to the music performances, a variety of supplementary programs will welcome visitors. Diverse experiential booths, including "Hangung" (Korean archery) experience and key ring making, will be operated for family visitors, ensuring an enjoyable time for all ages. Furthermore, a food truck zone featuring local small business owners and a brewery offering various craft beers will be available, providing visitors with an abundance of food and beverages.

Notably, a receipt event linked to the local commercial district, organized by Hyundai Premium Outlet, will also be held. Visitors can participate in various prize giveaways by bringing receipts from purchases made at Hyundai Premium Outlet Daejeon during the festival period, showcasing Yuseong-gu's efforts to promote local commercial revitalization through the festival.

Jung Yong-rae, Mayor of Yuseong-gu, stated, "We hope this 'Yuseong Music Festa in Midsummer Night' will invigorate the Yuseong commercial district and serve as an opportunity for the local community, exhausted by COVID-19, to unite through music." He added, "We expect many citizens to visit Gwanpyeongcheon Stream and enjoy a cool summer night with beautiful music."

This festival is planned to go beyond a simple performance, aiming for the revitalization of local culture and co-prosperity, thereby becoming a win-win event that brings joy to citizens and vitality to local small business owners.
