25 Participants from 9 Families Attend at Lotte World Busan… Cultural Exchange Venue Prepared for Community Integration
"Contributes to Stable Settlement and Cultural Understanding… Promises Continued Support"

The Saha-gu Women's Organization Council (Chairwoman Park Jin-suk) successfully held the 'Happy Companion with Multicultural Families' event at Lotte World Adventure Busan in Gijang-gun, Busan, on the 5th. This event was planned to promote harmony and cultural exchange within the local community for multicultural families and to provide an opportunity for families to create special and precious memories together.

The stable settlement of rapidly increasing multicultural family members within the local community, along with mutual understanding between diverse cultures, has recently emerged as an important task for our society. Accordingly, the Saha-gu Women's Organization Council is actively striving to help multicultural family members feel a sense of belonging as part of Korean society and resolve cultural differences, going beyond simple material support to create a venue for practical communication and exchange.

On this day, 9 multicultural families, totaling 25 people, affiliated with the Saha-gu Family Center, participated in a lively time. In particular, members of the Saha-gu Women's Organization Council were matched one-on-one with multicultural family members, enjoying various programs at Lotte World Adventure Busan, such as amusement rides and diverse cultural performances, fostering deep bonds and communication. Participants shared meaningful experiences of naturally understanding each other's cultures while laughing and interacting together.

Park Jin-suk, Chairwoman of the Saha-gu Women's Organization Council, emphasized the significance of this event, stating, "This 'Happy Companion' was a precious opportunity that greatly contributed to multicultural families' stable settlement in the local community and deep understanding of each other's cultures." Chairwoman Park further expressed her strong commitment, saying, "Going forward, we will continue to promote various programs for support and community integration so that multicultural family members can grow as proud members of our society and form healthy communities."

Through this event, the Saha-gu Women's Organization Council contributed to resolving the cultural isolation and alienation that multicultural families may experience, and laid the groundwork for them to actively participate as important members of the local community. This is expected to be a stepping stone towards achieving the organization's goal of realizing a 'community where everyone lives well together.' The Council plans to continue leading the way in creating a healthy multicultural society based on mutual respect and understanding through continuous communication and customized support programs for multicultural families.
