Preparations for the “large-scale deportation of illegal immigrants,” President-elect Donald Trump’s top priority policy, appear to be in full swing. It is reported that a plan to utilize the military's budget and assets by declaring a national emergency at the border immediately after taking office is being considered.

Caroline Rabbit, spokeswoman for Trump's second term transition team, said in an interview with Fox News on the 10th that policy advisors are currently drafting dozens of executive orders that President-elect Trump will sign immediately after his inauguration on January 20th next year. It is reported that this includes the large-scale deportation of illegal immigrants.

Prior to this, the Wall Street Journal (WSJ) reported that President-elect Trump's advisers are making a plan to implement his pledge to mass deport, and that the first step being considered is to declare a national emergency at the border on the first day of his inauguration.

According to WSJ, priority targets for deportation include 1.3 million illegal immigrants who have received a final deportation order from the immigration court and immigrants with criminal records. However, the federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is prevented from tracking illegal immigrants without criminal charges. The WSJ reported that a plan to abolish one Biden administration policy is also being pursued.

Meanwhile, President-elect Trump announced on the night of the 10th that he would appoint Tom Horman, who served as acting director of ICE in the first Trump administration, as 'border czar' and said, "Horman will also oversee the deportation of all illegal immigrants to their countries."
