Total of 2,115 boardings recorded
Popular destinations: Wonseongcheon Stream (76%), Cheonhoji Lake (10%)

Cheonan City announced on the 7th that over 90% of users were satisfied with the results of a satisfaction survey conducted for the night circulation city tour bus, 'Starlight Tour,' which was piloted for the first time.

In line with the '2025-2026 Visit Cheonan Year,' the Starlight Tour operated on a trial basis for two days, the 4th and 5th, from 5 PM to 1 AM the following day. It circulated every 20 minutes, focusing on the Wonseongcheon Stream cherry blossom path and connecting nightscape attractions and tourist sites such as Cheonan Town Hall, Taejosan Park, Cheonhoji Lake, and the Intercity Bus Terminal.

Unlike existing city tours that only operated themed routes during the day, the Starlight Tour allowed unlimited hop-on and hop-off access throughout the day with the purchase of a single initial ticket.

Over the two days, the total number of boardings reached 2,115, and the satisfaction survey revealed a 92% rate of 'very satisfied' or 'satisfied' responses.

A total of 156 respondents participated through QR code surveys (128) and paper surveys (28), with 96% indicating their intention to reuse the service. Popular destinations cited were Wonseongcheon Stream (76%) and Cheonhoji Lake (10%).

The city analyzed that the popularity stemmed from the convenience of unlimited same-day boarding at all stops with a single ticket purchase, allowing individual exploration of Cheonan's nighttime tourist attractions.

Cheonan City plans to develop and operate various city tour courses in the future, linking them to seasonal tourist destinations and major city events, similar to the Starlight Tour night circulation bus.

Lee Gye-ja, Head of the Tourism Division, stated, "We will continue to develop and operate diverse content utilizing Cheonan's tourism resources and attractions. We will improve and advance the Starlight Tour based on the results of this pilot operation."
