Collaboration is expected to expand in the energy and data center markets by combining industrial automation technology with AI and ICT infrastructure. The core objective is to jointly discover business opportunities and develop integrated solutions in the renewable energy and AI data center sectors by linking operational technology (OT) with network and security capabilities in industrial sites.

Emerson Korea, a global industrial technology and automation specialist, has signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Snet Systems, an ICT infrastructure specialist, to expand into the energy and data center markets.

Through this agreement, the two companies will pursue joint business ventures in the renewable energy and data center markets by combining their expertise in industrial automation and plant technology, the convergence of information and communications technology (ICT) and operational technology (OT), and network and security.

Emerson Korea will provide expertise in industrial automation and energy management, while Snet Systems will support capabilities in AI, networking, security, and ICT infrastructure deployment. Based on this, the two companies plan to expand their customer base and strengthen technological competitiveness in the AI data center and energy transition markets.

Emerson Korea offers technologies that enhance operational efficiency and sustainability in industrial sites based on industrial automation, control systems, and digital transformation solutions. Recently, it has been expanding its business areas into next-generation infrastructure sectors such as renewable energy, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and data centers. In particular, by linking integrated control, power and energy management, cybersecurity, and industrial AI technologies, the company provides end-to-end solutions spanning from design to operation and maintenance.

Snet Systems is a company that supports overall AI infrastructure based on its extensive experience in networking and data center deployment. It provides integrated services ranging from foundational infrastructure—such as GPU servers, storage, and networks—to operation and management platforms and AI solutions. Furthermore, it supports infrastructure design, deployment, and operation tailored to customer environments by utilizing IT-OT convergence, networking, security, and operation monitoring technologies.

Taking this agreement as an opportunity, the two companies plan to strengthen technological connections between industrial automation and digital infrastructure, and uncover joint business opportunities in the energy and data center sectors.

"This agreement serves as a starting point connecting industrial automation (OT) and digital infrastructure (IT)," said Chung Jae-sung, CEO of Emerson Korea. "By combining the expertise of both companies, we will provide integrated solutions to customers and create new growth opportunities in the data center and renewable energy markets."

Kim Hyung-woo, CEO of Snet Systems, stated, "The competitiveness of AI infrastructure stems from the organic connection between technologies. By combining Snet Systems' AI infrastructure with Emerson Korea's industrial automation capabilities, we will enhance operational efficiency and stability." He added, "We will also full-scale expand joint business and technological cooperation in the AI, data center, and renewable energy sectors."
