SEOUL, South Korea – Blackpink's music video for their hit song "Shut Down" has reached a new milestone, surpassing 700 million views on YouTube. This marks the group's 15th video to achieve this feat.

Released in September 2022, the music video has been a consistent fan favorite, showcasing the group's powerful performances and visually stunning production. The video was notably produced with YG Entertainment's largest-ever budget, featuring elaborate sets and a visually striking homage to Blackpink's previous hits.

"Shut Down" samples Niccolò Paganini's "La Campanella," a piece known for its technical difficulty and virtuosic performance. The song's blend of classical elements with modern hip-hop production has been widely praised by critics and fans alike.

Upon its release, "Shut Down" topped iTunes charts in 43 countries and claimed the number one spot on the global iTunes chart. It also made history as the first K-pop song to reach number one on Spotify's weekly chart.

With over 95.7 million subscribers, Blackpink holds the record for the most subscribed music channel on YouTube. Their content has accumulated a staggering 37.9 billion views, solidifying their status as global superstars.
