Cheonan Hongdaeyong Science Museum (Director Lee Jong-taek) announced on the 31st that it will operate the 'Mobile Observatory Starlight Charging Station (hereinafter referred to as Starlight Charging Station)' at Bangadari Park starting from April 4th.
The Cheonan Hongdaeyong Science Museum has been operating the Starlight Charging Station since 2022 to provide citizens with opportunities for celestial observation experiences in their daily lives. This year, it plans to operate the station a total of 8 times, including the event in April.
At the Starlight Charging Station, visitors can directly observe the moon, planets, and binary stars through mobile telescopes. Along with this, various hands-on events can be enjoyed, such as taking moon photos directly with smartphones, free observation of various celestial bodies with small telescopes, and meteorite exhibitions.
The Starlight Charging Station is free of charge, and visitors can simply visit the event venue without prior reservation.
