Cheonan City announced on the 2nd that it will operate the '2025 Foreign Student Internship Program' to help foreign students settle in the region and strengthen the global competitiveness of local businesses.

This program supports internships linked with local businesses for foreign students currently enrolled in universities or those about to graduate. It will run for two months, from this month until August.

A total of six companies are participating in this year's internship, and 10 foreign students from various countries, including China, Japan, Vietnam, Indonesia, Mongolia, and Ecuador, have been placed in each company to begin their internships. Foreign students will be provided with 2.1 million won in monthly labor costs.

Through their internships, participants are expected to lay the foundation for continuous collaboration with global companies in Cheonan City and grow into talent connecting overseas branches and global networks in the future, promoting win-win development with businesses.

A city official stated, "The internship is a win-win program that provides students with practical experience and an understanding of the domestic work environment, and offers companies the opportunity to collaborate with global talent." He added, "We will continue to actively support foreign students' settlement in the region."
