CHUNGCHEONGNAM-DO — In an effort to foster competitive local specialty construction firms equipped with advanced technology and market strength, Chungnam Province announced on the 22nd that it is accepting applications for the "4th Batch of Chungnam Trusted Construction Companies."

First introduced by the provincial government in 2022 as a nationwide first, the "Trusted Construction Company" initiative identifies sound local specialty construction businesses, promotes them to major builders and construction sites, and actively supports their registration as partner firms and participation in subcontracting.

Through this recruitment drive, the province aims to widen entry opportunities for local specialty construction companies into large-scale projects, expand their contract acquisition capacity, and strengthen the overall competitiveness of the regional construction industry.

Key Recruitment Details

Application Period: Until the 20th of next month.
Selection Scale: Around 100 companies.
Recruitment Fields: Specialty construction sectors including civil engineering, architecture, landscaping, and facility engineering. Multiple category applications are permitted.

Eligibility Requirements:

Must have maintained its head office or main business place within the province for at least 3 years as of the announcement date.
Must satisfy financial criteria: Credit rating of B- or higher, cash flow rating of C- or higher, and a debt-to-equity ratio of 300% or lower.
Over 50% of the construction engineers required under the specialty construction registration standards must reside in the Chungcheong region (Chungnam, Daejeon, and Sejong).
The province plans to comprehensively evaluate candidates' project execution capabilities, safety management proficiency, and market entry potential through document reviews, on-site inspections, and interviews with company representatives. The final results are scheduled to be announced this November.

Support Benefits and Incentives

Selected enterprises will receive a wide range of institutional supports, with the certification period lasting for two years from January 1, 2027, to December 31, 2028. Key benefits include:

Intensive promotion targeted at major construction companies and large-scale construction sites.
Customized consulting for partner firm registration and credit evaluation, alongside capacity-building education.
Provision of information regarding project ordering, subcontracting, and partner registration.
Strengthening technical competitiveness through quality management, safety protocols, and new construction technologies.
Additionally, prime contractors who sign subcontract agreements with designated Trusted Construction Companies will be given priority support for the issuance fee of subcontract payment guarantees, thereby encouraging active collaboration with local enterprises.

Eligible businesses wishing to participate must prepare the application form and relevant supporting documents, and submit them either in person or via mail to the Construction Policy Division of Chungnam Province.
