Chungbuk Province announced that eight local medical device companies participated in the "Medical Fair Asia 2026," held in Singapore for three days from September 9 to 11, achieving remarkable results including export consultations worth USD 5.94 million (approx. 8.2 billion KRW) across 190 cases, and export contracts totaling USD 2.91 million (approx. 3.9 billion KRW) across 61 cases. Additionally, the companies signed three on-site Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) worth USD 650,000.

Medical Fair Asia is recognized as Southeast Asia’s premier medical and healthcare exhibition, showcasing the latest technologies and products across various sectors such as medical consumables, surgical instruments, and in-vitro diagnostic devices. The international event brought together global medical device manufacturers and international buyers for active business consultations.

Operating under the Chungbuk Joint Pavilion, the eight participating enterprises—Ace Healthcare, Noahnyx, Meta Biomed, G.L. Company, Changmyung Control Technology, Yoorim Yanghyeng, Agecare Korea, and Dejuvent—actively promoted the excellence of their products to overseas buyers, engaged in export consultations, and secured new business partners.

As Southeast Asia rapidly expands its healthcare infrastructure and digital health integration, exhibitions like Medical Fair Asia serve as a vital gateway for entering the broader global MedTech market. Industry insiders noted that participating in such high-profile international expos allows regional manufacturers to demonstrate technological adaptability and compliance with international standards, which is crucial for long-term global partnerships.

A representative from a participating company shared their impression, stating, "This was a valuable opportunity to directly demonstrate our product competitiveness to buyers from around the world, and we expect this exposure to lead to substantive, long-term exports."

Chang Woo-sung, Director-General of the Bio-Food and Drug Administration of Chungbuk Province, stated, "We will continue to expand overseas marketing support and strengthen our assistance in securing export channels to help local medical device companies elevate their competitiveness in the global market."
