- Applications open from October 21 to November 2 for paid tourism facilities located in Busan

Busan City and the Busan Tourism Organization (President Lee Jeong-sil, hereafter referred to as the "Organization") are holding a recruitment period from October 21 until 3:00 PM on November 2 for new free partner venues (merchants) for the "Visit Busan Pass," which has established itself as an essential product for independent foreign tourists. This recruitment aims to discover competitive local tourism content, broaden choices for foreign tourists, and revitalize the local economy by encouraging the use of tourism facilities.

Meanwhile, since its official launch in 2023, the Visit Busan Pass has recorded cumulative sales of approximately 1.04 million passes as of July this year, serving as a signature tourism product that drives foreign tourists' length of stay and spending in Busan. The Organization plans to further strengthen the content competitiveness of the pass by linking it with local paid tourism facilities, leveraging the high brand awareness of the product.

The target for recruitment is paid tourism facilities located in Busan, and selections will be made by considering foreign tourists' convenience and competitiveness as a tourism product. The applying businesses will undergo a comprehensive evaluation covering ▲ tourism content and product competitiveness, ▲ foreign tourist hospitality and accessibility, and ▲ safety and hygiene management levels, followed by on-site evaluations to select potential negotiation partners for affiliation.

Free partner venues ultimately selected through negotiations will be promoted to foreign tourists via the Visit Busan Pass official website and mobile platform, and will provide complimentary tourism benefits to Visit Busan Pass holders.

An official from the Organization stated, "The Visit Busan Pass is a representative tourism product that connects foreign tourists so they can conveniently experience Busan's diverse tourism facilities and content. Through this recruitment of new free partner venues, we will continuously discover competitive tourism content, increase foreign tourists' length of stay in Busan, and strengthen cooperation with the tourism industry to revitalize the use of local tourism facilities."

Detailed information regarding the recruitment of Visit Busan Pass free partner venues can be found in the official notice posted on the Busan Tourism Organization website (www.bto.or.kr).
